Crafted exclusively in the Mekong Delta, our Chocolate Terracotta Brown Collection is made from unique alum-rich clay and traditionally fired using rice husk fuel. The result is a naturally rich chocolate-brown tone, full of texture and depth perfect for those who appreciate earthy, understated elegance.
Material:
Sourced from the riverbeds of the Mekong, the clay is abundant in natural alum. It is soaked, blended, and finely ground, then combined with sand to create a plastic, moldable consistency ideal for handcrafting.
Molding:
Clay sheets measuring 10–13 mm thick are formed in plaster molds and allowed to mature and dry naturally. This slow drying process minimizes cracking and ensures long-lasting durability.
Firing Process:
The dried greenware is fired in a traditional round tower kiln fueled by rice husks, reaching temperatures of 700–900°C over 3 to 5 days, followed by a 2-day cooling period. This process produces a distinctive matte chocolate finish subtle, timeless, and naturally beautiful.
Versatile Application: Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use
Ideal for Planters & Décor: Perfect for homes, gardens, resorts, and rustic landscapes
No Glaze Required: The natural color and character develop through the clay’s composition and kiln firing
Durable & Authentic: Each piece embodies the authenticity and heritage of Vietnamese ceramic craftsmanship
Bring the warmth and richness of the Mekong Delta into your space with the Chocolate Terracotta Brown Collection, a tribute to tradition, simplicity, and natural beauty.
