Exclusively sourced from the Mekong Delta, our Antique Terracotta Brown Collection is crafted from rare alum-rich clay, shaped by generations of tradition and fired using sustainably harvested rice husk fuel. The result is a naturally warm-toned ceramic collection that embodies the rustic elegance and deep cultural heritage of Vietnam’s pottery legacy.
Material:
This collection begins with alum rich clay, unique to the Mekong region. The clay is soaked, carefully blended, and ground to a fine, workable texture, then combined with sand to enhance plasticity and durability.
Molding:
Prepared clay is cut into 10–13 mm thick slabs and formed using plaster molds. Shapes mature and dry naturally, strengthening their structure before firing.
Firing Process:
Each piece is fired in a traditional round tower kiln at 700–900°C for 3 to 5 days, using eco-friendly rice husk fuel. Following firing, a 2-day cooling period reveals soft earthy tones and a rich, weathered finish unique to this clay and method.
Indoor & Outdoor Versatility: Perfect as planters, decorative accents, or garden displays
Natural Finish: No artificial glaze; the warmth and depth arise naturally from the clay and firing process
Cultural Authenticity: Ideal for rustic, traditional, or heritage-inspired spaces
Durability: Built to last through skilled craftsmanship and resilient natural materials
Whether showcased as an artistic centerpiece or used as a functional planter, the Antique Terracotta Brown Collection brings the soulful spirit of the Mekong Delta into any environment.
