The Blackclay – Earthenware Collection honors the raw beauty of nature and the rich heritage of Vietnamese pottery. Crafted from premium riverbed clay and characterized by a deep, natural black hue, each piece reflects strength, simplicity, and authenticity. Fired at high temperatures in traditional wood kilns, these planters are built to withstand the elements while adding a striking, organic presence to any space.
Raw Material:
Carefully sourced riverbed clay is blended with sand and finely ground to achieve a smooth, plastic consistency ideal for handcrafting.
Molding Process:
The clay is cut into 10–13 mm thick slabs, shaped using plaster molds, and then allowed to mature and air-dry naturally, ensuring structural stability before firing.
Drying & Firing:
Fully dried greenware is fired in traditional wood burning kilns at 1200–1250°C for 4 to 5 days, followed by a 2-day cooling period. This intensive firing imparts a rich, deep tone and stoneware level durability to each piece.
All-Weather Resistance:
The high-fired stoneware quality makes Blackclay pots suitable for year-round outdoor use, including harsh climates and frost.
Versatile Aesthetic:
Their natural, earthy black finish complements both modern and rustic design styles.
Sustainable Craftsmanship:
Produced with locally sourced materials and traditional wood firing methods, this collection supports eco-conscious, heritage-driven pottery making.
Ideal for gardens, patios, courtyards, and architectural landscapes, the Blackclay – Earthenware Collection adds strength, elegance, and natural warmth to any environment. Its timeless finish and durable construction make it a top choice for designers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
